Did you know that dragonflies breathe through the body, not the head? Join us for an up-close look at
these often overlooked insects: Dragonflies and damselflies. Experts Kathy and Dave Biggs have a
slide-show presentation and fun activities. You will have an opportunity to see specimens with a
powerful hand lens.
This program will be complemented August 1, with a special hike to Natural Bridges for a dragonfly
expedition!

For more information or directions, call or stop by the New Melones Visitor Center & Museum, (209) 536-9543, open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Or check out our website Events Calendar at: http://newmelones.mpxtranet.info/webcal/. If you would like a copy of our Spring Interpretive Calendar e-mailed to you and to be added to our e-mail list, please send an e-mail request to tneal@mp.usbr.gov.
